[What 21 appears to be holding is a jar. A jar with an angry little winged creature inside of it, presently making bitey spoon noises. He shakes it and it appears to glow a little brighter, and get more agitated.]

So I don't really see how keeping one of these in a jar is meant to protect me from death if I'm mortally wounded.

So like, in the game the amount of health you have is measured by these little heart pictures up in the corner of the screen. Usually. And you can catch fairies in bottles. If you die, the fairy in the bottle escapes and revives you.
